About Kris McCabe
Principal Technical Leader · Success Architect, Salesforce
15+ years at the intersection of enterprise architecture, data resilience, and AI — from the shop floor to the C-suite, across EMEA and APAC.
The story so far
I started my career in data management at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT — where I became the Salesforce Platform Owner and learned early on that getting data right is the foundation everything else sits on. From there I moved into progressively more technical and architectural roles, picking up certifications, building integrations, and developing a genuine obsession with how enterprise systems fit together.
At IRIS Software Group I was the senior technical stakeholder on a £2M programme consolidating 50 CRM and ERP systems — working across Salesforce, NetSuite, JavaScript, Apex, Python, and C#. It was the kind of project that either breaks you or makes you, and it cemented my approach: understand the business problem first, architect for longevity, and never underestimate the complexity of data.
CloudApps gave me my first real taste of product-side architecture. I led technical discovery and solution design for SuMo — a Salesforce managed package that evolved into an AI/ML-powered product on AWS — and developed a deep appreciation for building things that can scale beyond the initial brief.
In 2020 I joined Own Company as a co-founding member of their Technical Account Management function — building it from scratch into a globally recognised capability. Over four years I served as primary technical advisor to enterprise customers across Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments. I co-developed the DDRTP algorithm (now a pending US patent), co-created the DR3™ methodology, architected a full AWS Organisation, and led a HIPAA/GxP-compliant data archiving POC that delivered $4M in cost savings and mitigated $450M in regulatory risk for a global pharmaceutical client.
When Salesforce acquired Own Company for $1.9B in 2025, I transitioned into a regional Success Architect role within the Trusted Services team — working at C-suite and engineering level across Salesforce’s multi-cloud portfolio, including Agentforce, Data Cloud, and AI-powered solutions. I’m a certified Agentforce Specialist, applying that expertise to prompt design and agent configuration as part of my current architecture work.
Outside of Salesforce, I’ve spent 18 years in progressive volunteer leadership with Scouts — currently leading a 14–24 District team and running the 103 Oxford Road Scout Group, with responsibility for 200+ young people and 40–50 volunteers. It’s taught me as much about building resilient teams and calm crisis response as any enterprise programme has.
Outside of architecture work, I hold a Drucker School MBA Essentials qualification, I’m a Professional Member of BCS (MBCS), a registered Advanced RITTech, and I’ve held an IDM Data Management Award since 2013. I’ve built technical teams, mentored practitioners to certification, and pioneered assessment methodologies adopted by organisations globally.
