The challenge

Most organisations can’t answer a simple question honestly: if we lost critical data tomorrow, how ready are we to recover it? Existing readiness checklists tend to be either too generic to be useful or too technical for non-technical stakeholders to engage with.

What I built

Designed and built a free maturity assessment that helps organisations answer one question before a data-loss incident happens: how ready are we, really? Twelve plain-English questions across governance, protection, detection, response, and recovery produce two things — an industry-weighted Risk Assessment with a visual breakdown of where the gaps are, and a genuinely fillable Data Recovery Response Plan structured around the actual order an incident unfolds in: detection, triage and escalation, regulatory notification, recovery execution, and validation.

Outcomes

• Industry-weighted scoring across 12 dimensions, with a radar chart and RAG breakdown surfacing exactly where the gaps are
• A genuinely fillable Data Recovery Plan, not just an improvement checklist — includes a defined recovery-team role structure (Technical Lead, SME, QA/Tester, Comms) and an ordered incident-response sequence
• Exports to a properly paginated PDF with a branded footer, or an editable Word document
• Independent and open-source; not affiliated with or endorsed by Salesforce or any named vendor
